Xana S. Bertino

I’m Xana S. Bertino and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania. This is the highest level of licensure for social workers in PA. I have earned the national credential, Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work (BCD), a credential based on clinical excellence over time. My Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) (this means trained in providing therapy) is from Widener University, a CSWE accredited school.

I have training and am experienced in individual, marriage, family and group therapy. I provide therapy to adults, teens, and children. I have worked in multiple settings and levels of care for over 20 years including: inpatient and partial hospitals, outpatient clinics and private practice. I have worked cooperatively with schools, child welfare and probation.

I started my own practice in 2003, with the idea of working with those who want help. After years of working with mandated clients through various systems (child welfare, education, probation, and mental health), I decided I wanted to focus on those who are seeking help on their own, people who know that life can be better than they are currently experiencing it, and need some assistance in getting there. Being a therapist is what I have always wanted to be, and I love what I do. Being able to help those who want help makes that even better.

In addition to providing therapy, I enjoy public speaking. I have provided trainings for agencies. I have spoken on various mental health topics to staff, families, schools, and community groups. I love learning and regularly pursue opportunities for ongoing education. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers. I was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Women’s Business Forum of Bucks County, a nonprofit group who’s mission is to educate, mentor and inspire women to build and sustain viable businesses. I am also a member of the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, active in the Parenting and Family, and the Women in Business Committees.

When I am not working, I can be found in my vegetable garden or just generally outdoors. I love to cook and bake new healthy recipes. I also enjoy being active; volleyball is one of my favorite pastimes. I am also active in my local church.
